- Rally Day is Sunday September 13. This year to start the 09-10
Sunday School season we are going to have a cook-out outside
after the 10am service. Bring your lawn chairs, we will provide the
tables. Everyone in the congregation is invited. There will be a sign
-up sheet in the back of the church. The Learning Committee will
provide hot-dogs, chips and a cool drink. Asking friends to bring a
salad, fruit, or dessert to share. After the cook-out we will all go
the he Fellowship Hall is see animals from The Maryland Zoo in
Baltimore. The ZOOmobile does have some policies and site
requirements, PLEASE read. Animals cannot be used in indoor
temperatures below 65F and above 85F. The ZOOmobile
Instructor must be provided with a parking space near the
presentation area or entrance to the facility. Due to strict
quarantine policies, no other animals may be present in the
presentation area. According to Maryland State Law, food may not
be served or eaten in same area as an animal presentation.
Audience members are urged to wash hands before and after the
program. If animals are touched during the program, hand washing
following the program is required. The facility should provide
chaperones in accordance with the organization’s policy. The
minimum chaperone to student ratio allowed by the Zoo is 1 adult
per 20 children. ZOOmobile programs must take place indoors in a
presentation area that has doors and windows that can be closed.
The presentation area must be large enough to maintain a 4 foot
“buffer zone” between presenters and audience. If the Zoo
cancels a program due to customer violation of ZOOmobile
requirements, no refund will be issued. Make your calendar for
Sunday, September 13 . Everyone is invited so sign-up.

HOPE IN HANDBAGS
- A silent purse auction to benefit Faith
Communities and Civic Agencies
United will be held at the BelAir
Armory on Main Street on Thurs, Fri,
Sat, September 17, 18, 19.
- If you will bring
your gently used handbags to church and put
them in the baskets in the narthex, we will
deliver them for you. This agency is an
emergency homeless shelter in Riverside; one
of the few that accepts men and tries to give
them a hand-up. It will be an auction and cash
and carry.

FALLSTON ANIMAL RESCUE MOVEMENT
- Thank you to the congregation for your support
of the Fallston Animal Rescue Movement. We
will be collecting again on Sunday, September
6. Please save towels and small
blankets. They always need money for vet bills
and can use cat food (wet and dry), no dog
food.
- Every three months, on the first Sunday of the month
in March, June, September and December there
will be a collection for the shelter. So start putting
your old sheets, blankets and towels in a bag or box
and bring them to church on the first Sunday of
March, June, September & December.
